Library Pickup Lockers
 

Unlock your next read on your time!  You can now pick up your holds even when the Library is closed with our new Pickup Lockers.


 

HOW TO USE

1.      Place a hold in the online catalog or through the mobile app.  You can also place a hold in person or over the phone.

2.      Select Bethel Park Lockers as your pickup location.

3.      You will receive an e-mail notification when your item is available.  Visit the Pickup Lockers located at the top of the ramp, above the courtyard, at the Library within seven days of receiving the e-mail notification.

4.      At the locker, follow the prompts on the screen.  You can scan your library card or use the touchscreen to enter your library card number an PIN.

5.      Once you have submitted your account information correctly, a list of the items in the locker will appear on the screen.  Select check out.

6.      A locker will open for you to retrieve your item.  Remove the items and shut the locker.

7.      A receipt detailing what was checked out and when they are due to be returned will be e-mailed to you.

 

PICKUP LOCKER FAQ

Q:  When can I pick up my books in the locker and how many days do I have to pick up items?

A: You will be notified by e-mail when your items is ready for pickup.  You will have seven days to pick up your hold.  Lockers are available 24 hours a day.

Q:  How do I pick up my holds in a locker?

A:  When you arrive at the lockers, scan your library card or enter your library card number and PIN on the touchscreen.  Follow the prompts on the screen to check out your item and then a locker will open.  Take the item from the locker an shut the locker door.  A receipt will be e-mailed to you.

Q:  What items cannot be checked out from the lockers?

A:  While there are several sizes of lockers and lockers can hold more than one item, most items from the Library of Things (musical instruments, hotspots, dolls, concept kits) cannot be checked out from the Pickup Lockers.

Q:  Do I need my library card with me to use the lockers?

A:  No, but you will need to know your library card number and PIN if you don't have your card with you.  You can also scan the library barcode in the Library Mobile App!

Q:  Can I use the lockers to return items?

A:  No, we do not accept returns through the lockers.  There are two Book Drops located next to the lockers.  Please use them for returns.

Q:  Can I pay any fees owed at the Self-Check Kiosk?

A:  No, the Pickup Lockers are not set up to accept payment.  Please go to the Circulation Desk.

Q:  Who do I contact if I have a problem using the lockers?

A:  The front desk staff are available to help you if the Library is open.  You can also call the Library at 412-835-2207 during regular business hours.  After hours, you can leave a voicemail and a staff member will return you call the next business day.
